Slippery Rock University President Karen Riley has been appointed by Gov. Josh Shapiro to join the Pennsylvania-Ireland Trade Commission.

The commission, recently established through legislation passed by the state House of Representatives, consists of 15 legislators and business, education and community leaders across the state.

The group aims to help promote business and academic exchanges between Pennsylvania and Ireland and support other economic initiatives related to trade, investments and policy issues of mutual interest between the commonwealth and the country.
