Donald E. Toomey Sr., 83, of Gibsonia, died Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 16, 1941, he was the son of the late David J. Toomey and Emma Mae Keller Toomey.

He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Rita Martin Toomey; loving father of Donald E. Toomey Jr. (late Joy), Debbie MacArthur (Neil) and Diane Vazquez (Steve); brother of Dana Foerst (David) and the late David J. Toomey; proud grandfather of Renee O'Brien (Mike), Donald Toomey (Kayla Whitlatch), Ashley Kovac (Justin), Lindsay Musico (Zach), Chelsea Scherer (Nate) and Steven Vazquez; and great-grandfather of Zelda, Donovan, Ellie, Sydney, Emma, Sophia and Enzo.

Don was a longtime truck driver, retiring from APA Transport. He was a wonderful husband for 64 years, and a beloved father and grandfather, who loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

TOOMEY — Friends of Donald E. Toomey Sr., who died Saturday, April 5, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

A blessing service will be held at noon Friday at the funeral home with Deacon Gary Molitar as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery.
