Youth bereavement event May 2
Concordia’s Good Samaritan Hospice will host a free youth bereavement care event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, at 116 Browns Hill Road in Valencia, for individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one.
The event will focus on creating personalized memory care boxes and is open to bereaved youth up to age 21. Attendees should bring items that remind them of the special person in their lives who died, which will be used to make a unique memory box.
While the bereavement programs are rooted in the Christian faith, they offer a supportive environment that welcomes individuals of all faiths or backgrounds, according to a news release from Concordia.
All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Free dinner will be provided for all guests. Registration is requested by April 25 by calling 1-800-720-2557.
