Butler Paranormal Conference returning to Tanglewood Center

John Turley, of Crowtown Squatchers in Coshocton, Ohio, attended his second Butler Paranormal Conference as a vendor last April. Turley, who sold various bigfoot-related items at his booth, said he saw a bigfoot at age 10. This year’s event is set for April 26. Butler Eagle File Photo

The Butler Paranormal Conference is returning to the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave. in Butler Township, on Saturday, April 26, for the event’s 18th year.

Dan Hageman, event organizer, said there will be five guest speakers and around 50 vendors, who all have to do with paranormal subjects, from UFOs to cryptids, like bigfoot.

“Anything that has to do with paranormal, it’ll be there,” Hageman said.

Paranormal author Maxim Furek will be a featured speaker at the conference, which will run from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Furek will discuss some of his books, namely “The Lost Tribes of Bigfoot,” which explores the extensive timeline of bigfoot sightings over the years and offers current scientific explanations about this elusive creature.

Furek has interviewed celebrity demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren and High Priest Dr. Frederick LaMotte Santee. He was featured on “Coast to Coast” with George Noory, “Exploring the Bizarre” with Timothy Green Beckley and Tim R. Swartz, and Art Bell’s “Midnight in the Desert” with Heather Wade.

Furek will share the Butler Paranormal stage with Stan Gordon, Kevin Paul and James Krug.

Hageman said there will be vendors stationed around the conference hall, and the event will have food for sale, raffle tickets, palm readers, astrologers, door prizes and more.

Admission to the event is $20 per person. For information on the conference, contact Hageman at 724-282-1710.
