Dale Peiffer

Peiffer

Dale A. Peiffer, 67, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

He was born in Natrona Heights on Jan. 17, 1958, to the late Delmont and Patricia (Betush) Peiffer. Dale graduated from Freeport High School in 1976 and he honorably served in the U.S. Navy.

He had numerous jobs over the years, from security at Butler Hospital to being a manager at GetGo. Dale loved camping, especially at Cook Forest, fishing and going to breakfast with his friends.

He was very instrumental in helping many people as a sponsor (but mostly, a friend) in the AA program. Dale gave himself freely to help others in the program. Dale himself struggled with addiction, but was proud to say that his 21st anniversary of being sober would be later this month. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 40 years. He was the proudest of his continuous 21 years.

He was the brother of Candace and Valerie Brake; uncle of Joseph (Mallory) Schreckengost, Nicole (George) Hobaugh, Shandi (James) Sherman, Whitney (John) Cupac, Amanda (Dusty) Brown and Kristen (Dennis Wilson) Brake. He is also survived by 15 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with his parents; and grandparents, Edward Sr. and Loretta Betush, and Claire and Esther Peiffer; Dale was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Harry B. and Harry R.; uncles, Edward, Richard, Don and Bob; aunts, Dorothy and Mona; and cousin, Scott.
