John Wolfe
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, I said goodbye to my wonderful husband of 63 years, John A. Wolfe, 88, of Connoquenessing Township, Evans City, formerly of Middlesex Township, at AHN Hospital in Wexford.
Born in Pittsburgh on Jan. 22, 1937, he was the son of the late Zadoc and Esther Callahan Wolfe.
As quartermaster third class, he served in the U.S. Navy on the vessel, USS Namakagon.
He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township.
John was a man with a quick wit and positive attitude.
Surviving is his wife, Susan M. Stefanik Wolfe, whom he married Dec. 30, 1961. He was the father of Christopher Wolfe (Julie) of Kennett Square and Mary Wolfe Lopez (Walberto) of Seven Fields; and Pap-Pap to Alanna, Amanda, Emily and John.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Donnelly and Eileen Stellar; and his brothers, Donald, Richard and William Wolfe.
A word of deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at AHN. They truly are God’s angels.
