Moniteau received three individual wins from Juliette Brown in a 91-45 girls track and field victory over Redbank Valley on Tuesday.
Brown won the 400-meter run, 200 and high jump. Teammates Emily Matz (100, long jump) and Brinn Kirschner (1,600 and 800) both came in first twice.
North Catholic — The Trojans and Trojanettes competed in a quad-meet with Leechburg, Shady Side Academy and Apollo-Ridge on Tuesday. No team results were available.
Anna Lazzara and Audra Lazzara each won two individual events. Anna claimed the 100-meter dash in 12.70 and the shot put in 30 feet, 11 inches; Audra won the 100 hurdles in 15.55 and long jump in 15-8. Ella Eiler won the 200 in 26.47 and 400 in 1:04.49, while the girls relay teams swept the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800.
Tyler Carroll won the boys 1600 in 4:40.36 and the 3200 in 10:42.02, claiming two of the boys’ five wins.
Baseball
Knoch pitcher Cody Stull held Valley to two runs (one earned) on three hits in 6.2 innings pitched in the Knights’ 10-2 victory.
Stull struck out eight and walked five before giving way to Alexander Eddy, who closed the game.
Knoch (8-6, 4-2) tallied nine hits, including two doubles from Cooper Allison and two singles from Noah Glassic. Both players drove in a pair of runs.
Freeport 14, Deer Lakes 3 — Michael Hanz, Dustin Kohan and Gage Blystone each had two hits, with Hanz and Kohan scoring three runs apiece for the Yellowjackets (5-5, 3-3).
Owen Westendorf earned the victory with three runs allowed on four hits in six innings.
Hampton 9, North Catholic 6 — The Trojans’ bullpen gave up five runs in the final three innings in Tuesday’s loss.
Matthew Madonna was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Landon Eifler (1-for-4) also drove in two. Jake McKee and Owen Beatrice scored twice.
