Roadwork DME
PennDOT announced concrete repairs along Interstate 79 northbound and southbound in Cranberry Township will begin April 21.
On the northbound side, the work area will extend from Exit 77 (PA Turnpike/Youngstown, OH/Harrisburg) to a half mile past Exit 78 (Route 228 Cranberry/Mars). The work area on the southbound side will be between Exit 77 and the Weigh Station.
Initial concrete patching runs April 21 to 25, followed by drainage installation on the northbound shoulder from April 28 to May 3. Lane restrictions will take place nightly on those dates from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The $5.4 million project, led by Guilsek Construction of Mount Pleasant, is expected to wrap up by August 2025.
