Zelienople Council approves special event applications
Members of Zelienople Borough Council on Monday, April 14, unanimously approved several special event applications during a meeting.
The first of those included an approval for the Seneca Valley North Athletic Association to hold its Opening Day on Saturday, April 26, at Zelienople Community Park. According to the youth baseball and softball organization’s website, 2025 has been a record-breaking year for registration.
Another local organization, Get Fit Families, is slated to host a number of events at the Zelienople Community Park this summer. That most notably includes the organization’s Youth & Junior Elite Summer Training Program and Youth Elite & Youth Age Group Summer Camp, which both will run from June 2 through Aug. 7.
The organization also will host the Ultimate Zelienople Challenge, which is a Ninja Warrior-inspired obstacle course, on June 29 at the borough’s community park.
Finally, Get Fit Families will host the annual Firecracker 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on July 4.
Explore Zelie will host its fifth annual Putt N Pour on Aug. 16 along Main Street in the borough. That event features an 18 hole putt-putt course that is constructed in part by local businesses.
In another popular event on Main Street, Fisher’s Bar and Grill will host its annual Crawfish Boil on May 17.
Glade Run Lutheran Services is slated to host a Touch-a-Truck event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 at the Zelienople Community Park.
