Knauf

Roy E. Knauf, 80, of Evans City, passed away Thursday morning, April 17, 2025, at UPMC Passavant.

Born in Evans City on Dec. 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Harry L. Knauf and Pearl L. Schweingruber Knauf.

Roy was a farmer all of his life, and drove a bus for the Seneca Valley School District.

He graduated from Evans City High in 1962. Roy married Audrey M. Schuler on Nov. 21, 1970, and they had 54 years of marriage. They had four children.

He enjoyed Allis Chalmers tractors, toy and pedal tractors, Chevy trucks and good auctions.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa M. Knauf and Audra M. Knauf; two sons, Harry J. (Camille) Knauf and Roy E. (Holly Brittner) Knauf; two sisters, Mary E. Kosinski and Lois (Phil) McCombs; and seven grandchildren, Logan, Coletta, Grady, Adam, Donald, Wyatt and Roy III.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at UPMC Passavant and Shadyside Hospital for caring for Roy. They would also like to thank all the neighbors and friends for their caring support to the family.

KNAUF — Friends and family of Roy E. Knauf, who died Thursday, April 17, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 21, at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City.

There will be additional visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, with services to follow, at the funeral home.

The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Portersville Steam Show, 1512 Perry Highway, Portersville, PA 16051.
