Young people should get involved
On Saturday, April 5, hundreds lined Route 68 to show their love and support for the USA and her government.
It was a remarkable, vociferous celebration.
Over the two hours, I saw two bird flippers drive by. But the support shown from the clogged road by people honking, waving and thumbs-upping their approval was overwhelming.
I met and talked with many folks, mostly middle-aged and seniors who shared my enthusiasm for what was a great day for “Hands Off!” organizers and for our country.
What struck me most, though, was the absence of the younger set, the 20 and 30-somethings and even teens.
I'm told there will be more “Hands Off!” events. I fully believe that the future of our already great country rests heavily in the hands of our young people. It's not you young who made “Hands Off!” rallies necessary, after all. Why not show up and help us older folks fix our country?
We need your “young,” inspiring ideas and energy. Not bird-flipping, chain saws, and magical sleight of hand from billionaires.
