Cranberry Township honors longtime planning commission member

Members of Cranberry Township staff and the board of supervisors honored planning commission member Jim Colella, who is stepping down from his role after 21 years of service.

Members of Cranberry Township staff and the board of supervisors recognized longtime planning commission member Jim Colella, who is stepping down from his role after 21 years of service.

Colella became a township resident in 2000 before joining the planning commission in 2003. He helped oversee and plan for the township’s rapid expansion over the last two decades.

“I think we (the planning commission and township staff) should be proud of our accomplishments that we made together,” Colella said during the supervisor’s meeting on Thursday, April 24. “I just want to thank everybody. This is a great community. I hope we made it a little bit better, and I’ll miss everybody.”
