Ronald ‘Hoot’ Krupa
Ronald “Hoot” Krupa, 87, of Forward Township, Renfrew, passed away Wednesday evening, April 23, 2025, in the comfort of his home with his daughter at his side.
Born in Pittsburgh on March 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Edmund and Esther Davis Krupa.
Hoot worked as a coil maker for Stimpel & Ward Company in Ross Township.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he was singer and guitar player with Ron Krupa and the Country Echos.
Surviving are his daughter, Christine K. Walters (Samuel Fair) of Renfrew; two grandchildren, Dennis Collins Walters (Kristen) of Cabot and Star Montoya (Michael) of North Carolina; four great-grandchildren, Tim, Michaela, Gracie and Maggie; and his brother, Theodore Krupa of Wexford.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Layton Krupa, whom he married Nov. 3, 1956, and who died Feb. 20, 1989; by a stepson, Arthur Carl Pellon; by his sister, Virginia Smidel; and by his brother, Edmund Krupa.
KRUPA — Friends of Ronald “Hoot” Krupa, who died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 7 p.m.
Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
