SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — Two Dollar General locations, one along Route 8 and the other along Centreville Pike, are set to finish construction later this year.

At the Slippery Rock Township Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, April 28, supervisors voted unanimously to approve the plans and developer’s agreement for the Route 8 location, as well as an operation and maintenance agreement for the Centreville Pike location.

Zane King, a representative of Dollar General who was present at the meeting, said that both locations are currently under construction. Construction is expected to be completed around late summer or early fall, King said.

The Centreville Pike location is under construction at the former site of Red Rock Falls restaurant, 664 Centreville Pike. The Route 8 location will be between two current Dollar General locations on the route.
