The Seven Fields borough council decided Monday when it voted to move forward with its summer events, including opening the community pool and having its annual carnival; its annual beer, music and wine festival; as well as a return of food truck nights.

At least that's what the borough council decided Monday when it voted to move forward with its summer events, including opening the community pool and having its annual carnival; its annual beer, music and wine festival; as well as a return of food truck nights.

“They (Seven Fields residents) want normalcy as best as possible under the circumstances, and we're going to do our very best to provide that,” borough manager Tom Smith said.

Starting July 2, with the first night of the Seven Fields Community Carnival, followed directly by the July 3 pool opening through the last Wednesday in August with its final food truck night, Seven Fields plans to host its entire slate of summer events following pandemic-related recommendations from health officials.

Steps to abide by those recommendations include fencing in areas, so an accurate count of attendees can be made, as well as pre-selling tickets for the beer, music and wine festival.
