Grossman, Koch named KSAC's players of the year

Tyler Grossman of Moniteau and Bethany Koch of Union were named Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Basketball Players of the Year by the league's coaches.

Grossman averaged 21.7 points per game in leading the Warriors to a 21-3 overall record and the KSAC boys regular season title.

He also sank 44 3-pointers and has reached double digits in rebounds and assists in various games.

Koch paced the Golden Damsels with 17.7 points per game. Union ended the regular season at 21-3 overall, 13-0 in the KSAC.

Moniteau's boys and Union's girls earned top seeds in their respective District 9 playoff brackets this year.
