Knoch boys beat Butler, NH for 1st time ever
Artie Black not only won the race Tuesday, but he also helped the Knoch boys cross country team to win the war.
Black's time of 16 minutes, 32 seconds was not only good enough for first place, but also it helped the Knights defeat Butler 26-31 and North Hills 28-29 for the first time in the program's 18-year history.
North Hills also defeated Butler 22-35.
"It was a tremendous effort on the boys side," said Knoch coach Wess Brahler. "We knew it would be close and knew it would be tough but the kids came through."
