Edgar T.C. Hay, 89, of Saxonburg passed away on Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born March 6, 1923, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of John and Emma Voelzke Hay.

Ed served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe as a pilot.

He worked as a truck driver for Harmony Dairy and also as an electrician for Walker Electric. He was a member of the Saxonburg VFW Post 7376 and the Aircraft and Pilots Association. He enjoyed flying.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy (Hofer) Hay of Saxonburg, who he married Nov. 7, 1947; two sons, Scott (Tina) Hay of Saxonburg and Wayne Hay of Saxonburg; one daughter, Karen (Kevin Lefever) Chabal of Saxonburg; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Colt and Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
