Teen who fled Summit Academy no longer missing
The Beaver County teen who allegedly fled from Summit Academy June 7 is no longer listed as missing.
A vehicle that Daniel Tweedlie, 16, of Beaver Falls was driving was recovered in West Virginia on June 11 and Tweedlie is no longer listed as missing, said Trooper Jim Long, of the state police.
Long said he did not know if Tweedlie has been returned to the academy, where he is located or if charges were filed against him.
Academy officials said would not say if Tweedlie was returned to the facility.
Additional information was not available Friday.
It was not known if the vehicle recovered in West Virginia was the Chevrolet Tahoe reported stolen from a home across the street from the academy the morning of June 8.
Tweedlie allegedly fled the academy at 11:30 p.m. June 7.
