Girl injured in fall from downtown Butler rooftop
A young girl was hurt after falling from the rooftop of a four-story building Tuesday evening on Main Street in downtown Butler.
According to Butler County 911 dispatch, the girl, 14, suffered an ankle injury and had severe back pain after falling about 20 feet onto a building near Miller's Shoes, 215 S. Main St.
“She fell from one rooftop to another rooftop,” Police Sgt. Jeremy Walters said.
Butler City Police and Fire departments were dispatched at around 7:45 p.m.
The girl appeared to be conscious and talking with her mother by phone while emergency crews tried to reach her.
Authorities kept telling her mother to keep her daughter calm while they called for a ladder truck.
The ladder truck arrived at 8:15 p.m.
