Mayor Tom Donaldson this morning honored the police officers who arrested a serial burglar.

They are Patrolman Nathan Shulik, Officer Anthony Fatta, Lt. James Hollobaugh, Patrolman David Villotti and K-9 Officer Blade of the city police.

Donaldson also honored Butler Township police officers Tim Clark and Tom Palla who assisted in the arrest.

David Morrow of Slippery Rock was arrested Jan. 20 when he was allegedly breaking into a vacant city home. Police identified him as a suspect in a rash of burglaries in the city and the township.

Donaldson said it was one of the largest burglary sprees in Butler County’s history.
