Harry A. Guenther
Harry A. Guenther, 82, of Airport Road, Grove City, Pine Township, Mercer County, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township.
Born in Pittsburgh in January 1928, he was the son of Harry Guenther and Clementine Plowmaker Guenther.
He married Jennie Mathieson on July 12, 1969.
Mr. Guenther retired in 1990 from the Watson Standard Paint Co., Pittsburgh, where he was employed for 42 years.
He was a Baptist.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean War.
Harry enjoyed carpentry, hunting and fishing; and he was an artistic painter.
Surviving are his wife, Jennie at home; three children, Shirley Fry of Utica, Robert McCutcheon and his wife, Linda, of Grove City and Gary McCutcheon of Dade City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Marni DePaoli and her husband, Anthony, of Grove City, Wade McCutcheon and his wife, Heather, of Katy, Texas, and Mandi Gilliland and her husband, Edwin, of Slippery Rock; nine great-grandchildren, Mackenzie McCutcheon, Marissa Fleeger, Anthony DePaoli, Kyle, Claire, Ashton and Chase McCutcheon and Madison and Declan Gilliland; a sister, Tina Moore of New Castle; and a brother, John Guenther of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Agnes Mazey and Helen Paletti; and a brother, Paul Guenther.
<B>GUENTHER</B> — Visitation hours for Harry A. Guenther, who died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Williamson, associate pastor of Grove City Alliance Church, officiating. Burial will be at the North Liberty Cemetery, Liberty Township, Mercer County.
