Herman Dale Klein
Herman Dale Klein, 83, of Chicora passed away Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Butler to the late Herman Henry Klein and Hilda Elizabeth (Sutter) Klein.
Mr. Klein worked as a welder at Pullman Standard for 25 years. Then he went to PennDOT, where he worked as a truck driver for several years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Klein was a volunteer driver for the DAV. He enjoyed church, spending time with grandchildren, camping, hunting, old cars and motorcycles. Mr. Klein was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Lou (Fennell) Klein of 56 years, who he married on Aug. 28, 1959; one son, Carl Dale Klein of Cleveland; two daughters, Amy Burr and her husband, Allan, of Hilliards, and BethAnn Thompson and her husband, Todd, of Chicora; two grandchildren, Sarah Thompson and Noah Thompson; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Sammie the Shitzu.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth (Klein) Shay, Jean (Klein) Vasbinder, and Freida (Klein) King.
KLEIN — Friends of Herman Dale Klein, who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Funeral services will be immediately following at 8 p.m. with the Rev. David Bobbett, pastor of the New Testament Baptist Church, officiating.Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made to the New Testament Baptist Church, 437 N.
