John F. Martin

John Martin

John F. Martin, 77, of Princeton passed away Wednesday morning at Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

Born on July 18, 1936, in Warren, Ohio, he was a son of the late William R. and Martha J. Hazlett Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Stephanne Dudash Martin, who he married on Dec. 22, 1955.

John served his country in the Army, serving in Fort Bliss, Texas.

He was an independent truck owner/operator who loved country music and was an antique auto enthusiast.

John was a member of the Rose Point Reformed Presbyterian Church in New Castle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Deanna (Aaron) Martin Rensel of Portersville; his four sons, Stephen Martin, Doug (Janice) Martin and Harry Martin, all of New Castle, and Bryan (Jenny) Martin of Fayetteville, N.C.; his four sisters, Mary Harlan of South Carolina, Martha Sontag and Sue Bales of New Castle and Sylvia Krepton of Illinois; his six grandchildren, Rachael (Aaron) Hinkle, Ethan Rensel, Christopher Wisniewski, Jennifer Hendley, Brian Mulligan and Phillip Martin; and his six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Martin; his sister, Ruth McGee, and his grandson, Aaron (AJ) Rensel.

Martin — Visitation for John F. Martin, who passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mt.
