Joseph A. Rosenwald Sr.

Joseph A. Rosenwald Sr., 79, of Hampton Township passed away Friday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless.

He was born on July 31, 1934, in Pittsburgh, to the late Lawrence Louis Rosenwald and Mary Elizabeth Lindenfelter.

Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.

He was a truck driver for Hammel Express for 35 years and a member of the Teamsters Local 249.

Joseph is survived by his daughter, Diane R. (Etto) Liberi of Wilkins Township; his sons, Charles L. Rosenwald of Westminster, Colo., and John E. (Shirley) Rosenwald of Cranberry Township; his four grandchildren, Dina Liberi Dowling of Gibsonia, Etto A. Liberi of Wilkins Township, Tiffany E. Liberi of Forest Hills, and Stephanie M. Rosenwald of Cranberry Township; his great-granddaughter, Casey M. Rosenwald; his brother, Edward Rosenwald of Canonsburg, and his two sisters, Kay Wheeler of Brookline and Peggy Barker of McKees Rocks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Kalisek Rosenwald on Feb. 24, 2009; his two brothers, Frank and Lawrence Rosenwald, and his two sisters, Rose Draucher and Mary Brown.

Rosenwald — The family and friends of Joseph A. Rosenwald Sr., who passed away Friday, May 23, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, 2702 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw.
