Jason Ross Wahl

Jason Wahl

Jason Ross Wahl, 21, of Harmony passed away on Saturday while under the care of the Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

From the very start, our Jason was “all boy.” He was a natural athlete and just hated to lose in anything. He loved life and everyone he touched was irreparably changed only for the very best. His accomplishments seem trivial compared to his seemingly infinite generosity. Here is a brief glimpse into his active life.

Jason was involved with the Zelie-Harmony Baseball Association and was a valued player and a member of the All-Star team each season he played.

He was a Boy Scout with Zelienople Troop 457 and earned the highest ranking Eagle Scout ever in the troop's history. He was a brotherhood member of Kuskitannee Lodge 168 and assistant scoutmaster for the 2010 National Boy Scout Jamboree and was involved with numerous youth leadership positions including senior patrol leader.

During his years spent at the Portersville Christian School, not only did he excel in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society, but he showcased his athletic abilities by lettering in soccer, basketball and even cheerleading. He also enjoyed weightlifting, was an intramural participant and was the lighting director for the fine arts.

Jason's zest for life continued at Gannon University. He was currently a junior in the electrical engineering program at Gannon and served as an intern at Westinghouse Electric during the summer and while on Christmas break from Gannon. Jason was named to the dean's list every semester, was a proud member of Phi Eta Sigma, a freshman honorary fraternity; vice president of Eta Kappa Nu, an honorary electrical engineering fraternity; treasurer of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and brother of Alpha Phi Delta.

He is survived by his adoring parents, Dr. Jeffry and Karen Wahl of Harmony; two brothers, Joshua and Brandon Wahl; four sisters, Erin, Jennifer, Brianna and Kayla Wahl; maternal grandparents, Timothy and Janet Trockenbrot; paternal grandparents, Dr. Dayne and Shirley Wahl; his beloved girlfriend, Sarah Pusateri; and his four footed canine friends, Abby, Buster, Duke, Ruby, Xena and, most specially, Leonidas Ross Wahl; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

He is forever in our hearts and memories as Jason lived life with no regrets.

Jason never stopped giving and will live on through his many donations to C.O.R.E.WAHL — The family of Jason Ross Wahl, who passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012, will welcome friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E.
