11:28 p.m. Friday — Ryan Fraser, 22, of Mars suffered a minor wrist injury when a car struck his vehicle at Route 68 and South Eberhart Road. Sara Cain Stirling, 75, of Butler, the other driver, was cited for a flashing traffic signal violation.5 p.m. Friday — Brittney Dezwick, 38, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting about $225 worth of jewelry, clothing and cosmetics from the Kohl's store in the Butler Crossing shopping plaza. Dezwick is charged with retail theft.3:31 p.m. Friday — Steven Michael Kennedy, 30, of Butler was arrested on a felony charge of illegal gun possession after police were called for a disturbance in the 100 block of McCarl Avenue. Police got there and found Kennedy, with a gun. Due to a prior felony conviction, he is barred by law from possessing any firearms.Kennedy was arraigned on the felony weapons charges, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.
8:27 p.m. Thursday — Alyson Johanson, 25, of Franklin, Venango County, was arrested for resisting arrest, public drunkenness, furnishing alcohol to a minor and disorderly conduct after allegedly creating a disturbance at the Saxonburg Fireman's Carnival off Pittsburgh Street. Katie Hundertmark, 20, of St. Petersburg, Clarion County, who was with Johanson, was cited for underage drinking.
Sunday — Two homes on Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township were vandalized between 1 a.m. and 6 p.m. At one home, a garage door was damaged. At the other home, an antique bicycle lawn ornament was damaged. Police did not say if they have any suspects.3:23 p.m. Friday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction accident in the northbound construction zone of Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. The crash happened when a car driven by Michael S. Hannah, 44, of Bluefield, W.Va., while changing lanes, hit the back of a pickup truck driven by Gary G. McLaughlin. 60, of Ambridge, Beaver County.The collision forced the truck into the back of a minivan driven by James A. Hillen, 48, of McMurray, Washington County. In turn, the van was pushed into the rear of a truck driven by John R. Seitz, 62, of Harmony.Police said Hannah was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.10:30 p.m. Thursday — An unidentified white Pontiac Sunfire struck another car on Route 68 just west of Holly Road in Fairview Township and did not stop. The other driver, Noelle M. Minteer, 24, followed the Pontiac but was unable to get the license plate number.Thursday — An unknown would-be thief overnight tried to break into two locked storage units at Fruehauf Manufacturing on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. The latches were cut but nothing was reported taken.Thursday — Sixty Vicodin pills were stolen from a car at a home in the 300 block of Orchid Lane in Brady Township. The prescription painkillers, worth $100, were taken between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday.Thursday — A 15-year-old boy is suspected of causing nearly $600 in damage to lawn ornaments at three homes in East Butler. The vandalism occurred between June 11 and Thursday. Police did not identify the boy, who is from East Butler. He faces criminal mischief charges in juvenile court.State Police, Clarion3:30 p.m. Sunday — An Emlenton woman's wallet was returned after a mix-up at the Wal-Mart on Monroe Township.The woman while at the store had left the wallet at the photo lab. Another woman apparently believed the wallet was hers, picked it up and took it home.According to a police report, both women own the “exact same wallet.” Police called the incident an “honest mistake” and noted that nothing was missing from the Emlenton woman's wallet when she got it back.
10:05 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Gabriel J. Daloisio, 18, of Kittanning crashed and rolled over, landing on its wheels, on Route 28 near the West Kittanning exit in North Buffalo Township.Police said Daloisio was cited for a lane violation.
