Harry E. Campbell
Harry E. Campbell, 93, a lifelong resident of Richland Township until relocating to Fort Myers, Fla., in 2000, died March 21 in Fort Myers.
Born June 28, 1914, on Glasgow Road in Richland Township, he was the son of Marcus and Esther Campbell.
He was a 50-year member of the John E. Mair Lodge 729 F&AM; a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, Syria Temple, NACO Caravan 19, Capital University Athletic Hall of Fame Varsity "C" Association; a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown; and a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fort Myers.
Harry was a supervisor of a U.S. Steel rolling mill in Homestead until retiring in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Wise Campbell; a sister, Mary; three brothers, Hugh, James and John; and a granddaughter, Heather A. Campbell.
He is survived by his sons, Harry E. (Susan) Campbell Jr. of Oakton, Va., and Edward M. Campbell of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a grandson, Jonathan P. Campbell of Oakton; his loving wife, Ruth H. Gabosch Campbell of Fort Myers; three stepsons, Douglas R. (Kathie) Gabosch of McCandless Township, Bradley R. (Sally) Gabosch of Charlotte, N.C., and Alan G. (Barbara) Gabosch of Sugar Land, Texas; seven step-grandchildren, Jeffrey A., Timothy J., Timothy Lane, Brandon W., Lauren P., Kimberly R. and Alan Grant Gabosch; two step-great-grandchildren, Laney C. and Mason Ray Gabosch; a sister, Jean of Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.
