Stephen Sheakley
Stephen R. Sheakley, 60, of Walnut Road, Karns City, died of natural causes at 2 p.m. Thursday at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Stephen was born in Butler, Jan. 12, 1951, the son of Robert L. Sheakley of Karns City and the late G. Jeanine De Courte Sheakley.
Stephen was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend.
He graduated from Karns City High School in 1968.
He was a member of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Service for more than 10 years.
Steve enjoyed woodworking, gardening and all types of mechanical work. Stephen had earned a private pilot's license and loved to fly. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was retired from Indspec in Petrolia after 40 years as a maintenance foreman.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Donna M. Steiner Sheakley, who he married at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Sugarcreek on Aug. 26, 1972. Two sons, Jason Sheakley and his wife, Tracy, of East Brady and Garrett Sheakley and his wife, Michele, of Butler also survive.
Four grandchildren survive, Madison, Xander, Ava and Ethan Sheakley of East Brady. Steve also is survived by two sisters, Cindy Anderson and her husband, Paul, of Karns City and Marylee Beverage and her husband, Bill, of Butler. Other survivors are several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Sheakley; and a sister, Susan Sheakley.

Sheakley, who died Thursday, March 3, 2011, will be received at <B>Hile Funeral Home of Chicora</B>, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend with the Rev. Ron L. Cyktor Jr., church pastor, officiating.
