Edith Leone

Edith Leone, 96, formerly of Boyers, died at 3:35 a.m. Sunday at Orchard Manor in Grove City, where she made her home for the past two years.

Born inItaly, Feb. 21, 1911, she was the daughter of James Vitale and Donece Vizioli.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Leone was a member of the Epiphany Roman Catholic Church of Boyers, where she was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Sons of Italy in Boyers.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary L. Dorcy of Grove City, Dora A. Bonetti of Slippery Rock and Catherine M. Trevelline of Ellwood City; three sons, Ben R. Leone and Edward E. Leone, both of Boyers, James R. Leone of Slippery Rock; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Ann Rublewski of Butler, Cora Isacco of West Sunbury, Angeline Gurner of Butler and Gloria FaJohn of Youngstown, Ohio.

Her husband, Raffaele Leone, whom she married June 18, 1925, died Jan. 10, 1995. She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three sisters, and a brother.

<B>LEONE</B> — Friends of Edith Leone, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Epiphany Roman Catholic Church, Boyers, with the Rev. Richard Thompson, pastor of St. Alphonsus Parish, officiating. Burial will be at Epiphany Cemetery, Marion Township.
