Woman threatens to explode her home
A Harmony woman allegedly threatened to blow up her mobile home Feb. 3 after turning on unlit burners from her propane gas stove.
Tameka Sgro, 35, was charged Monday with six counts of felony terroristic threats and risking a catastrophe to first responders.
Jackson Township Police Chief Terry Seilhamer said police officers immediately turned off the gas from the outside, and determined that it was “unlikely” Sgro would have been able to fulfill her threat.
“Although she turned her appliance on inside, there couldn’t have been enough gas to accumulate that quickly,” Seilhamer said. “She wouldn’t have had enough volatility inside the trailer to do it.”
Neighbors were not evacuated.
