Gertrude B. Angles

Gertrude B. Angles, 88, of Slippery Rock died Sunday at the White Cliff Nursing Center in Greenville.

Born April 26, 1928, in Strange Creek, W.Va., she was the daughter of James and Lina Lyons Knotts.

She was a housewife and a devout Christian who loved reading her Bible. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid animal lover.

Survivors include two sons, Allen (Trudy) Angles of Cortland, Ohio, and Donald (Vera) Angles of Campbell, Ohio; five grandchildren, Dawn, Jeanie, Mandy, Brent and Sam; and three great-grandchildren, Marrisa, Josh and Jordan.

Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Angles, who she married Jan. 31, 1944, and who died July 31, 2000; and two sisters.

ANGLES — As per the wishes of Gertrude B. Angles, who died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, a private family visitation and funeral service was conducted Wednesday at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home in Prospect with the Rev. Steve Cort of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect officiating. Burial took place at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.
