Ardent R. FaJohn Sr.

Ardent R. FaJohn Sr., 78 of Richmond, Va., died on Oct. 1.

Mr. FaJohn Sr. was born in Boyers, the son of James and Donella Mary FaJohn

Mr. FaJohn was a member of the VFW Post 229. He was a U.S. Army veteran in the Second Infantry Division in the Korean War. He received the Commendation Ribbon and three bronze stars for gallantry.

He was a retired manager of the Pizza Inn, and he enjoyed his role of Santa Claus during the Christmas season.

He is survived by two daughters, Rose M. Zglinski and Beverly A. Seifert; six sons, James F., Ardent R. Jr., Allen R., Ronald D., Daniel J. and Ronald A. FaJohn; three sisters, Madeline Rakaczky of Butler, Violet Fleeger and Regina FaJohn; a brother, Dominic FaJohn; 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Rose FaJohn; two sisters, Adeline Panei and Sophie Kopczewski; and five brothers, Carl, Richard, Archie, Celestino and Arthur.

<B>FAJOHN</B> - Friends of Ardent R. FaJohn Sr., who died Saturday, Oct. 1 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at MORRISSETT FUNERAL HOME, 6500 Iron Bridge Road, Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dale Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.
