2 on leave during Leechburg probeLEECHBURG — The vice principal of Leechburg High School and another administrator have been placed on leave while the district investigates whether they failed to report allegations of inappropriate behavior by a former teacher.The Leechburg School District didn’t identify the administrators but an attorney hired by one of them, high school vice principal Michelle Ferretti, identified her and said she would never fail to report a legitimate case of child abuse.Under Pennsylvania law, the principals are “mandatory reporters” who must notify authorities of alleged child abuse.Leechburg police said last month that nine students have accused an unidentified former substitute of inappropriate contact. Police Chief Mike Diebold hasn’t filed charges, but said then some administrators may have known about the allegations months before which he described as physical but not sexual.

2 men fatally shot on Route 65PITTSBURGH — Two men have been found shot to death in a vehicle on one of Pittsburgh’s busiest highways, snarling rush hour traffic as homicide detectives search for clues.Police and the Allegheny County medical examiner have yet to release the names of the victims.The shooting was reported just before 5 a.m. on Route 65 near the McKees Rocks Bridge.City police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer says officers tried to perform CPR on the victims, but paramedics pronounced both dead at the scene.Police haven’t said whether they have any suspects.
