Butler PoliceWednesday — Police charged Matthew L. Jenkins, 22, of Fairview Township with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop at 12:20 p.m. June 10 at West New Castle Street and Fourth Avenue.Jenkins, who reeked of alcohol, admitted he had six beers before driving. He was arrested and taken to the station.He vomited three times while in police custody.Jenkins eventually was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. A toxicology report June 20 showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.249 percent, the police said, or more than three times the state's 0.08 percent legal limit for alcohol.He is charged with driving under the influence and a flashing red light violation.

Butler Twp Police12:35 p.m. Tuesday — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck at Route 68 at Eberhart Road.The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Robert Schreckengost, 43, of Freeport ran a red light and collided with a car driven by Tamara Oviatt, 31, of Butler.Oviatt was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries. Schreckengost suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment.9:40 a.m. Tuesday — John Marten, 54, of Butler allegedly pushed a Dumpster into a vehicle on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora. The vehicle sustained unspecified damage. Police cited Marten for criminal mischief.

Buffalo Twp PoliceTuesday — Michael R. John, 23, of Buffalo Township was charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash in the 300 block of Bear Creek Road.Police said John's pickup truck struck and severed both a utility pole along the road and a realty sign in the front yard of a home. The truck did not stop and struck several mailboxes and a set of concrete steps along the road.Despite the damage to the truck, which was missing its front passenger side tire, and a flattened rear passenger side tire, John drove back to his home on Ronald Drive. Police followed a fluid trail and gouge marks in the road left by the damaged pickup to the suspect's house.John smelled of alcohol and he admitted to drinking at a friend's house before the crash. But he blamed the crash on a deer in the road.He was arrested and taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, for a blood test. Toxicology results showed his blood-alcohol level at 0.115 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to driving under the influence, John is charged with hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, driving at an unsafe speed and reckless driving.

State Police, ButlerWednesday — Police reported they are investigating a burglary that occurred between Saturday and Monday at an unspecified location on Mars-Evans City Road. No other information was released.5:35 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Melinda J. Buczko, 29, of Butler rear-ended a sport utility vehicle on Main Street at North Franklin Street. Gary J. Flinner, 74, of Prospect, the other driver, was stopped to make a left turn. Police cited Buczko for following too closely to another vehicle.

State Police, Kittanning7:44 p.m. Tuesday — A 24-year-old Kittanning man suffered an apparent drug overdose on the patio of a Garin Street in Worthington. A medical crew had to revive the man, who police did not identify. He was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township for treatment.Police said the man faces an unspecified drug charge.4:10 p.m. Saturday — A 26-year-old Punxsutawney, Jefferson County man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 north about one mile south of exit 18 in South Buffalo Township. Police did not identify the suspect, who also was caught with drug paraphernalia.Charges are pending lab results.6:28 p.m. June 21 — George Z. Senko, 31, of Leechburg was caught allegedly shoplifting a tent and fishing waders, worth a combined $329, at the Hilltop Plaza Walmart in East Franklin Township. Senko faces charges of retail theft and trespass.

State Police, PunxsutawneyFriday — The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited the Loyal Order of Moose Harmony Lodge 957 in Jackson Township, Butler County, for allegedly violating the state liquor law between Dec. 20 and Jan. 29 by failing to have its board-approved manager complete a Responsible Alcohol Management Program.An administrative law judge will hear the case.
