Saxonburg Carnival comes 1 month later
SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company is hosting its annual Fireman’s Carnival one month later this year, but it will feature the same favorite events.
The carnival will run from July 20 to July 25 and will have the pet parade, water battle and beauty pageants.
Regular carnival hours will be from 6 to 11 p.m. daily. Kiddie matinees will occur twice during the week from 1 to 6 p.m.
The raffle drawing will be on July 25. First prize will be a 2015 Chevy Camaro, second prize will be a Harley-Davidson low rider and third prize will be $1,000.
The events for the week are:
July 20 — Pet parade, 7 p.m. No registration is required. Pets must be leashed or caged.
July 21 — Water battle, 7 p.m.
July 21 — Little Miss Saxonburg pageant, 7 p.m.
July 22 — Kiddie matinee, 1 to 6 p.m.
July 22 — Junior Miss Saxonburg pageant, 7 p.m. Ages 12 to 15.
July 23 — Fireman’s parade, 6 p.m. Featuring fire departments, students and public officials.
July 24 — Miss Saxonburg pageant, 7 p.m. Ages 16 to 18.
July 25 — Raffle, 11 p.m.
