2:48 p.m. Aug. 18 — One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident on Route 68 east of Fared Road in Oakland Township. The drivers were Colby Snow, 18, of Petrolia, Joseph Cooke, 44, of Harrisville, and Larry Jones, 73, of Petrolia. A 16-year-old female passenger in Snow's car was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by Butler Ambulance Service with injuries of unknown severity. Cooke and Jones stopped while attempting to turn left onto Fared Road when Snow hit the rear of Cooke's car, which was pushed into the rear of Jones' pickup truck. Snow as cited for careless driving. The vehicles were traveling west.6:54 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Jaren Dean, 38, of Fombell, Beaver County, and a cargo van driven by Wayne Lieb, 65, of Pittsburgh were involved in an accident on Interstate 79 in Marshall Township, Allegheny County. Lieb was taken by Cranberry Township EMS to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with an injury of unknown severity. Both vehicles were traveling south when Dean sideswiped Lieb while changing from the left to the right lane. Dean was cited for careless driving.11:03 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Joshua Weaver, 39, of Evans City struck the rear of an SUV driven by Eleanor Cumberledge, 80, of Zelienople while traveling west on Evans City Road. Weaver was cited for following too closely. No injuries were reported.5:31 p.m. Wednesday — A 17-year-old male from Gibsonia, who police didn't identify, was traveling south on Prospect Road in Forward Township when he crossed into the northbound lane and struck a guardrail. He was not injured, but the car was heavily damaged and the guardrail was also damaged. He was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.9:04 a.m. Aug. 15 — Stephen Koscelansky, 30, of Petersburg, Ohio, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital after a vehicle he was driving struck an embankment along Route 108 near Slippery Rock. He was cited for registration and certificate of title required. The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and rescue team also responded.3:20 a.m. Saturday — A 19-year-old man from Pittsburgh, who police didn't identify, was arrested for driving under the influence after he was found passed out in the driver's seat of a car on Harmony Road at the Grove apartment complex in Slippery Rock Township.2:30 a.m. Saturday — A 49-year-old man from Herman, who police didn't identify, crashed an ATV at 147 Geibel Road in Summit Township. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.1:10 p.m. Aug. 14 — A drug possession charge was filed against Steven Hovis, 36, of Chicora after he was pulled over at South Monroe Street and Maple Avenue for having an expired inspection sticker on his car and a small amount of marijuana was found in his car.9:49 a.m. Aug. 13 — Robert Doyle, 33, of Pittsburgh was cited for accidents involving unattended property after he struck an overhead railroad bridge while traveling North on Anderson Road in Clinton Township in a Mack truck. Canadian National Railway owns the bridge.12:40 a.m. Friday — A 25-year-old man from Mercer was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 8 near Hall Road in Brady Township.7:27 p.m. Wednesday — A 60-year-old man from Evans City was cited for harassment for fighting with a 52-year-old Evans City woman at a location on Kline Avenue in Callery. Police didn't identify either person.12:21 a.m. Thursday — Dawnetta Mentzer, 54, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop in the 700 block of West New Castle Street in Butler.Noon April 23 — The 60-year-old owner of Petroleum Technical Services reported that her company lost $41,491 due to a fraudulent transaction in early April. Police did not identify the victim.1:30 a.m. Aug. 16 — Xavier Gibbs, 20, of New Castle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at the intersection of Kiester and Harmony roads in Slippery Rock Township.1:11 a.m. July 16 — Cole Bergbigler, 21, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a vehicle crash at the intersection of Clearfield and Carbon Center roads in Clearfield Township. The victim was Steven Plyler of Fenelton.9:31 p.m. Aug. 13 — Jonathan Bach, 33, of Rochester was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was pulled over on his motorcycle for a traffic violation at the intersection of Trailer Court and Evans City roads in Evans City.9:23 p.m. Saturday — Jesse Cousins, 36, of Butler was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly placing a 2x4 piece of lumber on the road at 161 Beulah Road in Oakland Township to slow down a 15-year-old boy from Butler who was riding an ATV on the road. The victim lost control of the vehicle, but came to a controlled stop. No injuries were reported.2 a.m. Sunday — Crystal Seybert, 43, of Emlenton drove a car into a ditch along Kohlmeyer Road in Venango Township after swerving to avoid a deer. She and her passenger had suspected minor injuries, but refused medical treatment. The car was disabled.9:07 p.m. Friday — A female ran away from a home at the intersection of Beech and Buckeye roads in Fairview Township. She was last seen at the Pilot on New Castle Road in Portersville and could be in Beaver County looking for a ride to West Virginia. Police ask anyone with information about the girl to call the station at 724-284-8100. Police did not provide a description of the girl.1:50 p.m. Saturday — A female ran away from a home on Game Reserve Road in Donegal Township and was last seen at the Pilot on New Castle Road in Portersville.
