Emlenton man charged with drug delivery resulting in death, manslaughter in OD death
Police have charged an Emlenton man who was accused of dumping a woman’s body in Butler County six months ago.
Shaun M. Long, 49, faces felony drug delivery resulting in death; two counts of felony hindering apprehension; plus involuntary manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, false reports, tampering with evidence and obstructing the administration of law — all misdemeanor offenses, according to online court documents.
Police named Long as a suspect last year when investigating the death of Kayla Dunlap, whose body was found along a road behind Oneida Valley Dam on Sept. 17. Police said Dunlap, of Callensburg, Clarion County, was last seen alive at Long’s home the night before her death.
He was arrested in October and charged with felonies relating to allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab in Venango County.
Long is being held in Venango County Prison without bail. District Judge Patrick Lowrey denied him bail at his arraignment Tuesday, after determining he was a flight risk, according to documents.
