Everett L. Morris

Everett Laverne "Vern" Morris, 78, of Saxonburg died Wednesday at Fair Winds Manor in Sarver.

Born July 13, 1928, in West Branch, Iowa, he was the son of Everett C. and Mabel Hathaway Morris.

He had been a truck driver for Western Auto and Refiners Transport and Terminal and retired in 1991.

Mr. Morris was a member of the Clinton Presbyterian Church, where he had been active in the choir.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Roenigk Morris, whom he married May 30, 1953; two daughters, Brenda Ungor and Sandra Morris, both of Saxonburg; and two sisters, Evelyn and Louise, both of Iowa. He also is survived by four grandchildren, Gwen Jochims of Ada, Ohio, and Kevin Thompson and Anthony and Tiffany Ungor, all of Saxonburg; and four great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

<B>MORRIS</B> — Friends of Everett Laverne "Vern" Morris, who died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. John Callahan Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Clinton Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of Clinton Presbyterian Church, 197 Glade Mill Road, Saxonburg, PA 16056.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
