Vivian Frazier Gibson

Vivian Frazier Gibson, 84, of Butler passed away Sunday.

She was born July 16, 1932, in Butler, to the late Thelma Thompson McAlpine.

Vivian worked for many years at the Butler Credit Bureau as a collections clerk. She was a member of the Penn Township Women's Club, the Associated Artists of Butler County, the Poetry Society, a former Cub Scout den mother and secretary for the Credit of Women International. Vivian enjoyed painting, sketching, bowling, traveling, gardening and spending time with family. She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gerald G. Gibson, whom she married Oct. 13, 1951; two daughters, Glenda Enright and her husband, David, of Cambridge, Ohio, and Judy Buzanoski and her friend, Ron Wissinger, of Butler; five grandchildren, Craig D. Enright and his wife, Sharon, Andrea C. Jackson and her husband, Adam, Matthew T. Buzanoski, Megan M. Buzanoski and Macey M. Buzanoski; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Madeline Soose and her husband, Francis, of Butler, and Judith A. Cicirello of Wellsville, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald R. Gibson.

GIBSON — Friends of Vivian Frazier Gibson, who died Sunday, July 2, 2017, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jarrod Crawford of St. John's Reformed Church officiating.Private burial will take place at the Concord Cemetery.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
