Robert K. Bell Sr.
Robert K. Bell Sr., 78, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Sunday at Aultman Hospital in Canton following an extended illness.
He served his country in the Korean War, serving in the Navy.
He and his wife of 56 years moved to the Canton area in 1963, where he became active with the Moose Lodge, attaining the fellowship degree; the VFW Post 7943 in New Philadelphia, Ohio; the American Legion Post 44 in Canton; and the Independent Order of Foresters.
After operating a Lawson's store, he worked as a salesman for the Keebler Cookie Co.
He was born in Butler to the late L. Kenneth Bell and Bertha Simmons Bell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Ralston, and two infant daughters
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Ralston Gallagher; a son, Robert K. Bell Jr.; a grandson; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Lenora Davidson; a sister-in-law, Ethel McCandless; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Ralston Sr.; and nieces and nephews.
