Howard Bohnert Jr.
Howard L. Bohnert Jr., 68, of Glenshaw, formerly of Mars, passed away Tuesday with his loving family at his side.
Born Dec. 4, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Audrey (Haley) and the late Howard L. Bohnert Sr. and stepson of the late Oliver Shanahan.
He was a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Mars VFW Post.
Howard worked as the borough superintendent for 23 years in Harmony and 13 years as the superintendent in Mars. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Bohnert; his children, Lori (Randall) L. Wilson and Howard L. Bohnert III; his stepchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Dailey and Timothy (Brittany) Bragg; his grandchildren, Harold “TJ” Wilson and Rebecca M. Clutter-Bohnert; his step-grandson, Jackson Bragg; his mother, Audrey (Haley) Bohnert Shanahan; and his sisters, Kathleen Kennedy and Judith (David) Williams.

Bohnert Jr., who died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, will welcome friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Terry Stoops and Dr. Jeffrey D.
