Nicholas Martin Gibson, 89, of Butler died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday at Sunnyview Home.

Born Feb. 26, 1919, in Butler, he was the son of Nicholas Marvin Gibson and M. Mae Martin Gibson Anderson.

He had worked for the Nicholas Moving Co., then Olsens Dairy, Friedman's and had been a pressman for Butler Eagle for 37 years. He was a member of the Eagle Retiree's Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clair (Margaret) "Peggy" Cratty of Butler; a son and his wife, Rex L. and Mary Jean Gibson of Butler; five grandchildren, James Cratty, Jodi and her husband, Chuck Boory, Judith and her husband, Andrew Stoops, Janet Cratty and Gina Adams; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay G. Mahood Gibson, who died Oct. 20, 2003, and two sisters.

<B>GIBSON</B> — Friends of Nicholas Martin Gibson, who died Thursday, March 13, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.
