Alexander S. Fazekas

Alexander Stephen Fazekas, 91, of Allison Park, formerly of Lower Burrell and Saxonburg, died Thursday.

Born Jan. 18, 1914, in Boyers, he was the son of Stephen A. and Susan Champis Fazekas Sr.

He had lived in Allison Park for the past year.

He retired in 1976 as an electrician with Union Spring & Manufacturing, New Kensington, after 43 years. During the early 1930s, he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Mr. Fazekas was a member of Dayspring Christian Center, Tarentum; the Union Spring 25-year Club and the Alle-Kiski Senior Citizens Center.

He enjoyed being a handyman, gardening, fishing, golfing and the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Gertrude B. Wroblewski Fazekas; a daughter, Beverly F. (James) Zanotti of Gibsonia; a son, Steve A. (Debbie) Fazekas of Sarver; a grandson, Tim A. Fazekas; and a sister, Susan Toaso.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Andrew, Charles, John, James and Steve Fazekas, and three sisters, Anne Ferrere, Agnes Domkos and Mary Kristine.

FAZEKAS - Friends of Alexander Stephen Fazekas, who died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at RUSIEWICZ FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Arnold.Memorial donations may be made to Willows Presbyterian Senior Care Center, 1215 Hulton Road, Oakmont, PA 15139.
