Painter Jr.

Russell E. Painter Jr., 56, of Buffalo Township passed away Friday in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Nov. 23, 1954, in Kittanning to the late Russell E. Sr. and Oma June Smith Painter.

Russell was raised in Worthington, where he lived most of his life until moving to the Sarver area five years ago.

Mr. Painter worked at Sampco DBA Vision Products, New Kensington, for the past four years. Before that, he was employed at Napco Window Systems, Sarver, for 12 years after working for the Moonlight Mushroom Mine, Worthington, for 20 years.

He was a Baptist.

Russell was a 1973 graduate of Kittanning High School, and he truly enjoyed woodworking and carving.

Russell is survived by his wife of 13 years, Ginger L. (Oesterling) Painter of Buffalo Township, who he married June 12, 1998; his daughter, Rene (Chris) Claypool of Worthington; his son, Jeffery (Paula) Painter of Butler; four grandchildren; his siblings, Barb (Jerry) Webb of Kittanning, June (Tim) Wolfe of Freeport, Susan (Doug) Gaiser of Kittanning, Charlene (Terry) Wyant of Kittanning, Mark (Carole) Painter of New Castle and Veronica (Jim) Szybka; and numerous nieces and nephews.

<B>PAINTER</B> — At the request of Russell E. Painter Jr., who died Friday, July 8, 2011, there will be no public visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of his family.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the <B>DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME</B>, Freeport, 724-295-3100.
