Hazel S. Lisman
Hazel S. Lisman, 83, of Valencia died Saturday at her home after a courageous seven and a half year battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 3, 1924, in West Deer Township, she was the daughter of Gilbert A. and Sarah McAdam Scheerbaum.
She was a member of the Glade Run United Presbyterian Church and volunteered at the South Butler County Meals on Wheels and the Preschool Place.
She enjoyed gardening, genealogy and traveling.
Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. Samuel (Sue) Bartley of Valencia and Mrs. Douglas (Kathy) Wood of Butler; a son, Charles (Terri) Lisman Jr. of Mars; a sister, Mrs. Jay (Janet) Biery of Leechburg; a brother, Clarence (Jane) Scheerbaum of Tarentum; five sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Mae Scheerbaum, both of Gibsonia, Lilly Mae Scheerbaum of Texas, Mary Lisman of Alabama and Mrs. Virginia Crummy and her husband, Don, of Valencia; and seven grandchildren, Kevin and Kory Wood, Sarah and Samantha Bartley and Amber, Shane and Courtney Lisman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Lisman, whom she married Nov. 7, 1953, and who died Oct. 29, 2000; and three brothers, Gilbert, Alvin and Elmer Scheerbaum.

Lisman, who died Saturday, July 14, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>mcdonald-aeberli funeral home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. in Mars. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Greg Weist, pastor of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
