Elmer W. Scheerbaum

Elmer William Scheerbaum, 69, of Richland Township died Thursday at UPMC Passavant.

Born Jan. 24, 1936, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Gilbert A. and Sarah McAdams Scheerbaum.

He was a foreman/laborer at Royston Laboratories, Blawnox, for 42 years.

Mr. Scheerbaum was a member of the Hampton Presbyterian Church. He also belonged to the Richland Sportsmen's Club.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy K. Smithco Scheerbaum, whom he married Sept. 13, 1957, at Hampton Presbyterian Church; a daughter, Heidi S. (Jon) Bacurin of Hampton Township; a son, Scott W. (Carrie) Scheerbaum of Boyers; two sisters, Hazel Lisman of Middlesex Township and Janet (Jay) Biery of Leechburg; a brother, Clarence (Jane) Scheerbaum of Tarentum; and grandchildren, Hunter S., Forest E., Autumn K. and Austin E. Scheerbaum and Melinda E. Bacurin.

Two brothers, Alvin and Gilbert Jr. Scheerbaum, preceded him in death.

SCHEERBAUM - Friends of Elmer William Scheerbaum, who died Thursday, April 14, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at HERBERT R. KING JR. FUNERAL HOME, 2841 Woodland Circle at Route 8, Hampton Township. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Portz, his church pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township, Allegheny County.Memorial donations may be made to Lighthouse Food Bank, P.O.
