Norma Jean Hepler

Norma Jean Hepler, 79, of Center Township, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, at her residence of natural causes.

Norma was born on Jan. 10, 1942, in Butler, and was a daughter of the late George Washington Stamm and the late Irene M. Miller Stamm.

Norma was a member of the Unionville Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She also was a cook at Lutherlyn camp, and drove a bus for Tuck’s Bus Garage.

Norma made her home in Unionville, where she loved cooking, baking and her gardens. Norma’s flower beds were her pride and brought her joy, making her home beautiful.

Norma is survived by two sons, James Hepler of Butler and David “Dutch” Hepler of West Sunbury; three daughters-in-law, Kim, Ann Marie and Shelley; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by three sisters, Winona M. Bartmas of Butler, Mrs. William (Janet) Glasgow of Pittsfield, Pa., and Mrs. Norman (Barbara) Brown of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; one son, Donald “Moose” Hepler; and one brother, David Stamm.

HEPLER — Visitation for Norma Jean Hepler, who died Monday, May 10, 2021, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Ed Sanner officiating.

Private burial will be Thursday in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
