Patricia Smith

Patricia Ann “Pat” Smith, 81, of Sarver, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at her home.

Born Aug. 12, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of John B. Chisnell, Sr. and Helen Margaret Smith Chisnell.

Pat was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church where she worked at the Trail House, helping people in need, and participated in Bible studies. She enjoyed horseback riding, cooking and roller skating. She played the piano, loved music and dancing with her husband, Hib.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia A. (Barry) Blackburn of Sarver and Debbie J. (Richard) Hayes of Sarver; her brother, James (Gale) Chisnell of Owings Mills, Md.; her sister, Cheryl (Arnold) Putnam of Gettysburg; six grandchildren, Crystal (Bud) Stroup, Tiffany (Ed) Pemper, Clinton Hayes, Dallas Hayes, Travis Hayes and Emily (Evan) Holben; one great-granddaughter, Lainey Pemper; her sister-in-law, Mary Chisnell of Reisterstown, Md.; two nieces, Kay Mainhart and Diane Vargo, that Pat considered her daughters; and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hilbert “Hib”Smith; three brothers, John B. Chisnel Jr., Harry Michael Chisnel and Daniel “Baby Danny” Chisnell.

Smith — Visitation and services for Patricia Ann “Pat” Smith, who died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, will be private.

Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
