Rebecca A. Hetrick
Rebecca Aileene Hetrick, 66, of Route 268, Chicora, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, at the Kittanning Care Center surrounded by her loving family.
Born Oct. 21, 1943, in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, she was the daughter of Ernest P. and Florence Virginia Claypoole Umstead.
Rebecca Aileene was a 1962 graduate of East Brady High School.
She was married on Oct. 27, 1967, at the Mount. Pleasant Lutheran Church to John E. "Jack" Hetrick. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2010.
Rebecca Aileene was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.
She enjoyed collecting angels, crafts, puzzles and especially the company of her family. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, John Hetrick and his fiancee, Susan Stilts, of New Bethlehem; two daughters, Sheila D. Waldroup and her husband, Shawn, of Rimersburg and Crystal Callender and her husband, Thomas, of Parker; three grandchildren, Nacole A. Hetrick Cook and her husband, Roy, of Butler and Kevin M. and Alisha J. Callender, both of Parker; one great-grandson, Jamarcus R.J. Cook of Butler; four sisters, Mary Belle Ace and her husband, Charles, of Bruin, Donna Jean Surrena and her husband, Daniel, of Chicora, Janet Lucille Slater of Chicora and Alice Darlene Hetrick and her husband, Charles, of Chicora; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hetrick was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Slater.
<B>HETRICK</B> — Friends of Rebecca Aileene Hetrick, who died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, will be received at the <B>Hile Funeral Home </B>of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, where funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert J. Newpher, interim pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Tom Spiker, a Grane Hospice chaplain.
